The Grievance Arbitration Awards Portal is a self-serve, online service that allows Ontarians to search for grievance arbitration awards that have been filed pursuant to the Labour Relations Act, 1995 with the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development since 2014.

A: Please go to Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development website: http://www.labour.gov.on.ca/ Select "Labour Relations".

Q: Do I need a log-in account to access the grievance arbitration awards?
A: No.
Q: I can't open the file.
A: Please click on the name and ensure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader (any version should work) installed
on your computer. To obtain a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader please visit the Adobe site https://get.adobe.com/reader/.
Q: I clicked on something on the page and it turns blank or doesn't load.
A: You may experience a slow connection. Try using a different web browser software. This site has been
tested for Internet Explorer 11 and Google Chrome. This site is not currently mobile browser compatible,
but still can be viewed on mobile devices in desktop mode.
Q: I clicked on something and I got "Oops… something went wrong".
A: Close the browser, clear you cache and cookies and try again. If the message still appears, please
contact us. To clear the cache and cookies in your browser, go to internet options in your browser and
select delete cookies and delete browsing history.
Q: How can I download more than one file at a time?
A: The site does not allow for multiple downloads.
Q: Can I get the grievance arbitration award in a different file format other than PDF?
A: All grievance arbitration awards published on the site are only available in the format
published.

A: The extra characters and symbols may be the result of the OCR (optical character recognition) process
used.

The following Act and regulation provide the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development with legal authority to indirectly collect personal information contained within an arbitration award and publish the award, along with any personal information contained within it, to the Grievance Arbitration Awards Portal:
- Labour Relations Act, 1995, s. 95.1; and
- Labour Relations Act, 1995 - General, s. 1 (O.Reg. 94/07)
The Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development may indirectly collect personal information about grievors, witnesses, and other parties identified as part of an arbitration award filed with the Minister. The awards will be published as filed and the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development will not redact the contents of any arbitration award that it receives.
Grievance arbitration awards filed with the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development from January 1, 2014 onwards will be published on the Grievance Arbitration Awards Portal.
